Super Savings Saturday – 3/23/19

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

This week was so busy, it kept me mostly offline. I did a little social media, but no blogging, which freed up plenty of time to bake/cook for Purim, make costumes, create gift baskets and experience plenty of holiday cheer with friends and family.

I truly love blogging, but I also enjoy my “real” life and I need a balance between the two. Luckily, I can just pick up where I left off and go from there. (It only took me five years of blogging to figure that out and stop stressing!)

I did all of my shopping during 2 hours on Monday morning and found a bunch of goodies.

Walmart:

Colgate mouthwash, regular price $3.96. I used a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $1.96 plus $2.00 Ibotta rebate.

Calphalon 14-piece set, clearance price $40.00. (Originally priced at $159.00, this was a huge savings. I have been looking to replace some of my nonstick cookware with stainless steel, because it’s supposed to be safer. I’m planning to keep these in the box until Passover, use them for the holiday, and then transition it for everyday use.)

Walgreens:

OxiClean laundry detergent, sale price $2.99. I used a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $0.99. (The store had a strict limit, even though none was advertised. Walgreens can be a frustrating place to coupon. Rules vary from store-to-store and it really depends on the individual store mangers. Some are flexible; others are ogres! If you have a choice, try every one in your area and see which is the best.)

Mentos mints, sale price $1.29 plus $1.29 Register Rewards.

CVS:

Extra gum, sale price $0.99. Total: $0.99 plus $0.99 ECB.

2 Kleenex bundle packs, sale price $4.49 each. I used 2 $0.50 manufacturer’s coupons stacked with a $1.00 store coupon. Total: $6.98 plus $5.00 ECB and $1.50 Ibotta rebate. (Almost free tissues is a deal I love!)

Have you used any coupons lately?
