Blue is one of my favorite summer colors. Not only is it universally flattering, it makes me feel happy. That’s why I’ve decided to wear a blue dress to an upcoming wedding. It’s an outside event—nothing too over-the-top or formal.
But here’s my dilemma … I cannot decide what dress to rent from my go-to dress place, Rent The Runway. Every dress I’m looking at is gorgeous and really affordable, which makes it so much harder to choose!
I’ve selected my top 3 dresses (see below) and would love your thoughts on which one is your favorite. And by all means, if you find another blue beauty in Rent the Runway’s selection that you think I should consider, please let me know.
And if you are ever trying to pick a dress for an upcoming event and are having trouble deciding, I’d be happy to share my vote and even put your three styles on my blog if you’d like others to weigh-in as well.
Plus, if you haven’t yet rented a dress from Rent the Runway, be sure to use the code FIRSTRTR25X75X at checkout because you’ll get $25 off your first rental of $75+, which is awesome!
Okay, moment of truth. Here are three styles I’ve selected to possibly wear for this end-of-summer wedding. Which one is your favorite?
ERIN erin fetherston Blue Sea Mist Dress
I have a light evening sweater and silver heels that will be worn as part of the outfit. Right now, I’m leaning towards the Shoshanna dress because it’s longer/more modest and I think I’d feel less conspicuous, but definitely need a second opinion.
Personally I love the colors of the ERIN erin fetherston Blue Sea Mist Dress BUT I also like the Shoshanna Cindy Midi Dress if you are wanting something a little longer 🙂
So hard to pick, right?! Anything blue I just swoon over.
I agree! They are all pretty!
Shoshanna Cindy Midi Dress. I like the color, the neck line and hem line on this one the best.
Couldn’t say it better myself!
The first one! Havana! If you are going to go to the trouble of renting a dress, step outside your comfort zone a bit and go for the more glam of the three. The other two are pretty, but they look like a dress you could wear any time.
Thanks for the advice, I’m trying to be brave and try something unusual for me. The Havana would definitely be unlike anything I’ve worn before.
I’m kinda practical girl. The second looks a little lacy and “bridesmaidy”. The belt makes the third look beachy. So, I’d choose the first.
