Why I Love UpSpring Prenatal + Gummy Multivitamins

This review was made possible by iConnect and UpSpring. I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.

Do you eat a perfectly balanced diet? Nope, me neither! Since most of us definitely do not, taking a multivitamin is an easy way to supplement what we get from food. For many years, I have used one daily. It’s important all the time, but especially when pregnant because the nutrition required for a growing baby is complex.

There are so many different prenatal vitamins on the market, it’s mind boggling! Because I have trouble swallowing pills and struggled with round-the-clock nausea, finding something that would work for me was challenging. (I either couldn’t get it down at all, or it wouldn’t stay down for long.)

After a lot of trial and error, a two-step version from UpSpring was my best option. Because UpSpring is a mom-founded and mom-run company, they understand what moms need and provide innovative solutions to the everyday health and wellness challenges we deal with.

Not only are UpSpring Prenatal + Gummy Multivitamins easy to use, they contain everything a mom-to-be wants minus all the yucky stuff we don’t:

    • Clinically proven to support fetal brain development
    • 100% daily value of 11 essential nutrients
    • 285 mg DHA/EPA
    • 800 mcg Folate
    • Alpha GPC (highly bioavailable form of Choline)
    • All natural
    • gluten free
    • low sugar
    • Non-GMO
    • NO mercury

The two-step system includes 3 peach-mango flavored gummies and 1 extremely small softgel per day. Nothing bothered my sensitive stomach and they were so convenient to take on the go—no water required.

UpSpring Prenatal + Gummy Multivitamins are available nationwide at Target (look in the Women’s Health Aisle) and you can also find more info on their website.

#HealthyMeetsHappy with Wellness Complete Health Cat Food

This post is sponsored by Wellness® and the BlogPaws® Pet Influencer Network™. I’m being compensated to share the availability of Wellness Complete Health and NEW Complete Health Grain Free Cat Food available at PetSmart, but I only share information that’s relevant to readers. Neither Wellness or PetSmart is responsible for the content of this article.

Keeping my cats happy and healthy has always been my number one priority. That includes offering them tons of love, regular vet care, an active lifestyle, toys, treats, clean water, and quality food.

When I shop for pet food, it must meet rigid standards and provide the nutrition they need. I also want something that uses actual food instead of fillers, by-products, artificial flavors/colors, chemicals, or preservatives. That’s why I love shopping at PetSmart—they have everything I could ever want on the shelves and I get to discover new and/or improved products while browsing up and down the aisles.

Wellness, one of the best pet brands, has reformulated their Wellness® Complete Health™ line, creating a variety of foods that offer a balanced diet and give cats what they need for a lifetime of wellbeing, no matter which life stage they are at. (Mine are a mix of old and young, some in excellent health, and another that’s not so spry anymore.)

These wet and dry delights combine natural, premium proteins and antioxidants, which help to support strong immune systems, digestive health, optimal energy, urinary tract health and skin/coat health. Grain free options are also available for those with dietary restrictions.

With so many options, it’s easy to celebrate the Year of the Cat! I filled my cart with a mix of everything pictured above and brought it home for my feline friends.

We nearly had a cat riot as these hungry, hungry hippos pounced on their scrumptious Wellness goodies! Princess (in the pink collar) is a bit slower than Pepper, but both eventually got their fill.

Their respective favorites were definitely the Chicken & Turkey Shreds and the Minced Turkey entrée. Wellness calls them a “Healthy Indulgence.” After scanning the ingredient list, I’d certainly agree. Check out these healthy items:

  • Chicken
  • Turkey
  • Carrots
  • Eggs
  • Blueberries
  • Cranberries
  • Potatoes
  • Spinach
  • Flaxseed

Yes, it’s actual, wholesome foods that I not only recognize, but enjoy eating myself. Since pets are members of the family, they deserve quality, too. By combining some dry food that they can snack on at any time and a few wet cans and/or pouches twice a day, my kitties are getting a steady stream of nutrients delivered in a tasty form they love.

The Wellness Complete Health cat food line is available for purchase at PetSmart and you can also connect with them on social media—a great way to get updates, see adorable pics, and connect with other fans of the cat community.

Holocaust Remembrance Day: Triumph over Tragedy

There are few subjects more somber, disturbing, and devastating than the Holocaust. Naturally, a lot of the photos most of us clearly recall are the awful images of death. While I feel those are important, I also think it’s equally powerful to show an image like this, that demonstrates triumph over tragedy as a Jewish People.

Yes, there is still anti-Semitism and it is arguably thriving. Recent bomb threats, cemetery destruction, and other awful acts of terror are an important reminder that this world is not a perfect place. Jews have always faced these threats, and for most of history we were totally alone, at the mercy of whatever government happened to be ruling. The modern-day miracle known as Israel changed all that. Now, regardless of politics or personal circumstances, Jews will never again be left without a place to go or a way to survive.

No matter how many years have passed, we must remember the victims, honor their memories, and showcase their stories as warning to current and future generations.
