Gili’s Goodies Gift Basket Giveaway

a3

Just in time for Purim, we’re offering an incredible gift basket, sponsored by Gili’s Goodies!

Gili’s Goodies was founded by Gail and David Ehrlich, immigrants from New York, in their home in Efrat, Israel 2001. Starting from their own kitchen with a small household mixer, Gili took her recipes and began making people smile. 11 years, and thousands of baskets later, Gili’s Goodies has become a household name for anyone, worldwide, needing to send a fresh baked gift to family and friends in Israel.

The most popular groups of customers are parents of seminary and yeshiva students studying in Israel for a year. Often, Gili’s meets customers in Jerusalem, gives them a business card and the reply is “Oh, we used your services when our kids were in Israel. We were thrilled!”

In addition, Gili’s runs holiday campaigns and has distributed thousands of gifts (or provides holiday parties) to IDF soldiers, the elderly and homebound through Yad Sarah, and special need children through SHALVA.

Those of us who live outside Israel don’t have to miss out on the fun; they will gladly ship to the USA! These fantastic kosher, specialty gift baskets are available all year long, providing an ideal gift for birthdays, weddings, holidays, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations. People worldwide have come to trust Gili’s Goodies for its high quality product, reliable, friendly and personalized service and basically for “always being there” when you need them.

This giveaway is especially exciting because it’s our first International offering, open to residents of Israel and the United States. One winner will receive a $65.00 Mishloach Manot package, consisting of home baked style cookies, hamentaschen, candies, and other incredible nosh! (There is a slight variation in contents, depending on where the gift is shipped to.)

Learning #TheArtofNutrition With Wild Calling! Pet Food

a3

This post is sponsored by Wild Calling! and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I’m being compensated for helping spread the word about Wild Calling! Pet Food, but The Jewish Lady only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Wild Calling! is not responsible for the content of this article.

Those of us who cherish our pets like family members are always on the lookout for healthy, safe food. That’s why I’m so excited to learn about Wild Calling!®, a new brand of dog and cat food created by the Petersen family in Greeley, Colorado.

Imagine a company whose philosophy is as follows:

A 100 percent grain-free, meat-rich diet, Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. Super food fruits and vegetables, Vitamins C & E. Prebiotics and Probiotics. At Wild Calling we combine the ‘science’ with the beauty of nature and a genuine love for our pets. That’s an artistic idea. We call it ‘The Art of Nutrition’.”

Sound like a dream come true, doesn’t it? Taking their cue from the wild west, the Petersens crafted a line of pet food that’s based on whole proteins, not chemicals, and includes uncommon items like elk, whitefish, turkey, trout, duck and beef. They believe good nutrition means eating foods each day that will give valued pets the vitamins, minerals, and other things they need to keep their bodies strong. It means pets eat foods that give them enough calories to have a healthy body weight. It means pets get enough protein to keep their bodies built up and repair any damage they may have.

This food is made right here in the USA, with attention to quality, and chockfull of the highest quality ingredients: hormone and antibiotic-free meat, poultry, and fish. The rich meats they use help to create an optimal amino acid profile to support healthy muscle growth and increased energy—just what active dogs like Oscar and Charlie crave!

Another very unique feature of Wild Calling! is GlycoEdge. Incorporated into the food, GlycoEdge is designed to provide dogs with consistent energy and a low glycemic diet. The innovative technology combines specific levels of tapioca (quick release), sweet potatoes (moderate release) and Lentils (slow release) to help limit glucose and insulin spike.

Super Savings Saturday – 2/14

a3

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday! Are you having a happy Valentine’s Day? I sure hope so! Around here, it’s been low key. We’re staying in and hanging out watching TV. I made heart-shaped sugar cookies to celebrate, but otherwise, no festivities.

This week was filled with more snow and shopping (this seems to be a pattern lately). I made a bunch of stops and came out of each store with very few items, but overall there were plenty of freebies and cheapies to be had.

CVS:

I’d read a tip on numerous coupon forums that the in-store machine was offering free M&M’s. I scanned my card, but received nothing.

Walgreens:

Soothe eye drops, regular price $11.99.

Mountain Dew Kickstart, sale price $1.00 plus a $1.00 Register Reward.

$0.09 clearance gelt (filler item)

I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon and a $10.00 Register reward. Total: $0.09!  (The eye drops weren’t part of any deal, but I really needed them.)

Shaw’s:

Gallon of organic fat free milk, marked down to $1.50.  (The regular price is $5.99!)

Wal-Mart:

Sara Lee deli meat, details here. Total: $0.99!

Market Basket:

I found all kinds of marked down produce like berries, squash, and peppers. also, oat bread was on sale for $0.99. I misplaced my receipt, but the total was around $5.00 for everything.

The funniest part was seeing the “regular” price on the reduced strawberries. $15.84/LB? Who in their right mind would pay more for berries than the best cut of steak? Just crazy!

Did you find any freebies?
