My Experience with Maple Hill Naturals Dryer Balls

dryerball

The wonderful folks at http://maplehillnaturals.com/ sent me some wool dryer balls. I’d heard of this product, but never used it. Because I have an old, slow Kenmore dryer, drying clothes takes forever. Towels, in particular, seem to never dry fully.

There were two extra large dryer balls in the package. They look like white tennis balls, just slightly bigger. They have an amazing Lavender Vanilla scent.  I tossed both in, since more is better, per the instructions.

As you can see from the pic, I experimented with  a load of whites—3/4 towels, with some clothes. I almost always have to dry towels twice.

Using the wool dryer balls, I cut my drying time in half!

This is a product I plan to keep. Everything came out soft and no static. Not only is it saving money on electricity; it also saves time. Anything that can do both is definitely for me. I love that the dryer balls are reusable and last for years—not bad for an investment of $16.99.

If the dryer balls are this good, I can’t wait to try more of their products. They all look awesome!

The Cost of Money Vs. Time

clock      dollarsign

Is it cheaper to make a product or buy it?

Generally, it’s cheaper to make a food item than to buy it—cheaper in dollars. One, however must also consider time. If you’re blessed with an abundance of money, you’re probably short on time and vice versa.

Carefully consider your current situation. Do you stay at home? Unemployed? Retired? A student? You probably do have the time balance.

Are you working full-time? Have a newborn? Have many children? Caring for a sick relative? You probably do have the cash balance.

Cut yourself some slack. None of us can “do it all.” Money-saving tips are supposed to make life easier, not add stress! Just because I like to coupon at 7 stores per week doesn’t mean you have to.

Would you rather buy it or make it?
