Super Savings Saturday – 4/15/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

This week was filled with fantastic savings! For less than $10.00, I came home with toothpaste, medicine, hair care, and laundry detergent. That alone would be a great price, but $6.49 will be coming back in a refund, making it super extra awesome!

Rite Aid:

Purex Free & Clear, sale price $1.99, plus $1.99 Plenti Points!

Walgreens:

Even though this is my least favorite store to coupon at, there were so many things on sale that I gave it a try. Good news: it worked perfectly!

I did multiple transactions to roll rewards.

Transaction #1:  Colgate Advanced toothpaste, sale price $2.99. I used a $0.75 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $2.24 plus $2.50 Register Reward.

Transaction #2:  Repeated the Colgate deal.

Transaction #3:  Two boxes Wal-Dryl allergy relief tabs, sale price $3.00. Total: $6.00. I used $5.00 in Register Rewards and $1.00 cash, plus I received another $5.00 Reward.

Transaction #4:  Three Gliss Hair care items (2 shampoos and 1 conditioner), regular price $6.49 plus Buy 2, Get 1 Free. I used a Bogo Manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $5.00 Reward and $1.49 cash, then submitted for a $6.49 mail-in rebate, making all 3 free!

Super Savings Saturday – 4/8/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

This week was a strange one. In the span of 6 hours, a bedframe broke, the Roku broke, and I dropped a glass bottle that shattered red liquid everywhere…

After such insanity, it was a relief to grab my coupon folder and list and get out of the house. Naturally, I had to make a Starbucks run on the way, too. The results are a hodge podge of cosmetics and food, but everything will be used and enjoyed—what’s left of it, anyway. (Yes, we seem to go through items at lighting speed around here.)

Hannaford:

2 enormous bunches of fresh broccoli, sale price $0.99/lb. Total: $4.41!

I also found an unadvertised Manager’s Special for oranges. They were priced 4/$1.00. I bought 20, because that was the max I could fit in the fridge. Total: $5.00!

Rite Aid:

4 Irish Spring body washes, sale price $1.99 with in-ad coupon. I stacked 4 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.99 each!

4 Sally Hansen nail polishes, regular price $2.99 plus Buy One, Get One 50% off. Total: $8.98 plus $10.00 Plenti Points!

Panera:

I have a reward good for one free bagel every day in April. So far, I’ve enjoyed a plain and a blueberry.

Super Savings Saturday – 04/01/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

The calendar says April, but the ground looks like December. Mother Nature “gifted” New England with 8 inches of fresh snow last night. While I’m less than thrilled, Spring snow always melts fast and there should be a little bit of greenery starting to appear soon (fingers crossed).

After not finding anything even remotely worth sharing for the past two weeks, I’m glad to report that I found many good deals when I shopped Friday morning.

Shaw’s:

There were a bunch of MyMixx digital coupons available on their app.

1 Signature Kitchens hot dog rolls. Total: $0.99!

1 Signature Kitchens turkey hot dogs. Total: $0.99!

1 Signature Kitchens yellow mustard. Total: $0.99!

1 Signature Kitchens ketchup. Total: $0.99!

Cherry tomatoes, sale price $2.00. I submitted my receipt for a $0.25 Checkout 51 rebate.

Target:

3 Trident gums, regular price $0.99. I stacked a $1.59/3 manufacturer’s coupon with a 50% off Cartwheel offer. Total: Free!

Bausch & Lomb eye drops, regular price $9.99. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $6.99. (Not the greatest price, but I was down to my last drop and had to buy a replacement.)

2 Celestial Seasonings teas, regular price $2.44. I stacked a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon with a 30% off Cartwheel offer. Total: $0.71 each!

2 Fairlife fat free milks, regular price $1.79. I used 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons.  Total: $0.79 each!

Since I had a 25% off Cartwheel offer good for candy, I did scope out the aisle, holiday display, and end cap. Normally, I find better deals after Easter and stock up then, so I decided to wait. (No big loss, we still have a good amount leftover from Purim!)

Super Savings Saturday – 3/11/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

This was a fantastic week for shopping. I only had time for 2 stores, but was able to find everything I wanted in stock, with lots of discounted produce, freebies, and moneymakers!

Rite Aid:

2 Kleenex tissues, sale price $0.99. I stacked a $1.00/2 store coupon with 2 $0.30 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.38 plus $0.75 Checkout 51 Rebate!

Teddy Grahams Go-Paks, sale price $0.99. Total: $0.99 plus $1.00 Checkout 51 Rebate!

2 Crest Complete toothpastes, sale price $3.00. I stacked a $2.00 store coupon with 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $2.00 plus $3.00 Plenti Points!

Local Produce Store:

This particular place always has a big table in the back that’s dedicated to clearance fruits and veggies. There’s no way to know in advance what’s available, but I always manage to find something worthwhile.

Bag of 12 limes, sale price $0.99!

Bag of 8 grapefruits, sale price $0.89!

Bag of 7 Meyer lemons, sale price $0.89!

Bag of mixed red and white potatoes, sale price $0.99! (Since potatoes are cheap anyway, I probably should’ve skipped this one since 3 of them were moldy. I peeled/diced the remainder and made a big pot of mashed potatoes and a big bowl of potato salad. Both tasted fine.)

1 cucumber, sale price $0.39 plus $0.25 Checkout 51 rebate!
