Super Savings Saturday – 4/30/16

cgjoy

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week, I skipped a few food deals on account of Passover, but there were many other goodies available. I had a lot of fun rolling rewards at CVS, getting needed cleaning supplies at Target, and picking up moneymaker haircare at Rite Aid.

Target:

3 Cover Girl Clear lipsticks, regular price $3.99. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with a 20% off Cartwheel. Total: $0.19 each! (I had no idea what “clear” lipstick was supposed to be. Turns out, it’s just lip balm.)

1 Cover Girl Outlast lip stain, regular price $7.99. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with a 20% off Cartwheel. Total: $4.99! (Not the best price ever, but I needed it to make a friend’s birthday gift basket.)

1 Joy Mangano Miracle Mop, regular price $19.99 and 1 Joy Mangano Bucket, regular price $14.99. I used a 40% off Cartwheel offer. Total: $20.99 plus a $5.00 Target gift card! (Excellent product at an affordable price; my only complaint is that this deal came out after Passover. It would’ve been better two weeks earlier.)

CVS:

I did multiple transactions to roll bucks. (There are no pics because my phone died—sorry!)

Transaction #1:

1 Scope Mouthwash, regular price $3.59. I used a $0.75 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with a $2.00 CVS coupon. Total: $0.84, plus $3.00 ECB!

Transaction #2:

2 Ocean Spray juices, sale price $1.50. Total: $3.00. I used the $3.00 ECB and earned another $3.00 ECB.

Transaction #3:

2 Skintimate shave gels, regular price $3.49. I used 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons and the $3.00 ECB. Total: $1.98 plus $3.00 ECB.

Rite Aid:

1 Garnier Fructis Grow Strong shampoo and 1 Garnier Fructis Grow Strong conditioner, sale price $3.00. I used 2 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $2.00, plus $3.00 Plenti Points.

Luvs diapers are available in sizes Newborn to 6. I love their large stretch tabs that provide a secure and snug fit every time. Plus, Leak Barrier Leg Gathers and a Leakguard Core make them extra absorbent. Luvs is so sure you’ll like them, every package comes with a full Money Back Guarantee.

Super Savings Saturday – 4/23/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week was crazy-busy with preparing for Passover. I had to do a huge grocery shop, mostly for full-price items (no way around it). I did manage to find some time to coupon, though. Deals included cheap toilet paper, medicine, and shirts. The only downer? The meat sale that wasn’t.

CVS:

Scott Tube Free toilet paper, sale price $4.99. I used a $2.00 CVS mobile coupon stacked with a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon, then submitted for a $1.00 Checkout 51 rebate. Total: $0.99!

2 Radiance Calcium vitamins, clearance price $3.87. Total: $7.74, plus $10.00 ECB!

Shaws:

$0.99/LB split chicken breast and $1.88/LB ground turkey were advertised. Even though I shopped the first morning of the sale, there wasn’t a single package to be found. (The meat dept. manager told me nothing came in on the truck.) This put a serious crimp in my weekly meal plan. We ended up eating some frozen salmon and had spaghetti 3 times to use up all the pasta before Passover. Total: Zero cash, tons of frustration!

Target:

Mossimo T-shirts were on sale 3/$24.00 which could be combined with a 50% off Cartwheel offer. While I wasn’t particularly impressed with the quality (paper-thin and extremely low-cut), the price was reasonable. I’ll be using them as sleep shirts. Total: $4.00 each.

Dulcolax Pink laxative, regular price $5.49. I used a $2.00 Target coupon stacked with a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon and a 20% off Cartwheel. Total: Free!

Super Savings Saturday – 4/16/16

trutar

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday! This week, I found great deals on pet food, makeup, and sweetener. I wanted to get a jump start on Passover food shopping, but that didn’t actually happen (such is life).

Petco:

4 Wellness Trufood cat food bags, clearance price $11.98. Total: $47.92. (Since these bags are normally $48.99 each, this deal was amazing! No wonder it was marked down; that price is absurd!)

Target:

2 Madhava agave, clearance price $2.48. I used a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with a $1.00 Target coupon. Total: $0.48 each! (Very yummy and organic as well!)

There were many other things on my list, mostly Cartwheel offers, but I shopped too late in the week and everything was gone. Grrr!

Rite Aid:

5 Revlon ColorBurst Lip butters, clearance price $1.99. Total: $9.95! (I had no coupons, but it didn’t even matter since these were so cheap. I bought a bunch of different colors for me and my sister to share.)

2 Almay Softies eye shadows, regular price $5.29 plus BOGO. I used 2 $4.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.65 each!

Another item I really wanted were Arm & Hammer Spinbrushes, on sale for $1.99 with $2.00 peelies on the box. I checked 3 stores in my area and none had coupons.

CVS:

Don’t ask me how, but I went to CVS without my coupon folder and shopping list. Since I didn’t remember the deals and I wasn’t going to pay full price anyway, I left empty handed.
