Super Savings Saturday – 1/23/16

PURINA-ONE-0111

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This was a chaotic week, so I only focused on a few good deals for beauty products and much needed pet food. In addition to these goodies, I picked up some fresh produce, bread, and a bunch of stuff for the predicted snowstorm.

PetSmart:

2 Purina One dog food, regular price $7.99 plus BOGO. I used 2 $3.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $5.98 for 2! (If the coupon resets before the end of the month, I’ll redo this deal since it’s so cheap.)

Gillette-Venus-670x355

Rite Aid:

4 Gillette razors, on sale $7.99. I used 4 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $23.96, plus $20.00 Plenti Points! (Only $0.99/pack after store bucks are deducted.)

CVS:

This was a special request from a friend who doesn’t coupon and will only use Pantene products. I was happy to pass along the savings and the shampoo to her.

2 Pantene Repair & Protect shampoos, on sale 2/$8.00. I used a $4.00/2 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $4.00 plus $4.00 ECB!

Super Savings Saturday – 1/16/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week was all about diapers—8 packages for FREE! I love when deals line up perfectly with need. My stockpile was getting low and now it’s restocked at a fraction of the cost.

I also found amazing deals on chicken and picked up some salmon as a treat.

Rite Aid:

Transaction #1 – 4 Huggies diapers, on sale $7.99. I used 4 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $23.96, plus $10.00 Plenti Points, $6.00 Plenti Points, and a $10.00 Catalina.

Transaction #2 – 4 Huggies diapers, on sale $7.99. I used 4 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons and the $10.00 Catalina. Total: $13.96, plus $10.00 Plenti Points and another $10.00 Catalina.

After store rewards and the Catalinas, I actually came out ahead!

Shaws:

I made 2 trips on different days to take advantage of a great deal on chicken.

Transaction #1 – 4 Perdue Perfect Portion chicken bags, 3-day sale price $3.88. I used 4 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $1.88 each! (Regular price is a jaw-dropping $11.99 per bag, so this was a huge saving!)

Transaction #2 – The Perdue coupon reset and I was able to print 1 more. When I got to the store, I found 2 bags marked BOGO unexpectedly and the deal was even better. I bought 2 Perdue Perfect Portion chicken bags, ringing up free and $3.88. Total: $1.88 for 2! (I think the BOGO was from the previous week’s sale but it went through anyway.)

2 pieces of salmon, on sale $6.99/lb. (Not an extremely low price, but we really love fish and I need to use some for an upcoming product review.) Total: $16.37!

Super Savings Saturday – 1/9/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week was pretty quiet, just a few random food deals and some much needed toilet paper.

Shaw’s:

3 Frosted Mini Wheats cereals, on sale 3/$5.00. I used 3 $0.50 manufacturer’s coupons (doubled). Total: $0.67 each plus a $1.00 Checkout 51 rebate!

1 pack boneless chicken thighs and 1 pack drumsticks, BOGO plus 2 $2.00 mark down coupons. I was charged for the more expensive thighs which were $4.69, got the $2.87 drumsticks free and both coupons were deducted. Total: $0.69 for both!

1 banana, regular price $0.49/lb. Total: $0.23, plus a $0.25 Checkout 51 rebate so a moneymaker! (No pic because I ate it in the car before I even returned home. Way too tired/hungry/grumpy!)

CVS:

Scott Extra Soft toilet paper, on sale $6.99. I used a $0.75 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $6.24. (Not the greatest deal, but we really needed it, and I had 5 ECB’s to use. Out of pocket cost was only $1.24.)

Rite Aid:

I was hoping to pick up 4 bottles of Nexxus shampoo, free after points. I shopped way too late in the week and the shelves were empty. Looks like the early bird caught the worm and I left empty handed!

Super Savings Saturday – 1/2/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

Can you believe it’s already 2016? So far, my new year is going well, despite the restrictive diet. Since I’m trying to be good, I did less shopping than usual even though I had some fantastic coupons for cookies and crackers. (Oh, the temptation…) I’m proud to say I haven’t cheated one time, even though the cravings are driving me nuts!

My favorite deals were $0.12 razors and $0.09 conditioner (cheap and non edible).

Shaw’s:

4 Kraft Zesty Italian dressings, on sale $0.99. I used 4 $0.50 manufacturer’s coupons (doubled). Total: Free!

Suave Kids conditioner, clearance price $0.89. I used a $0.40 manufacturer’s coupon (doubled). Total: $0.09!

Walmart:

I made a quick stop on New Year’s Eve to use a free product coupon that expired that day. As usual, the store was mobbed and lines were long, so it was annoying.

Zest Fruit Boost body wash, regular price $2.99. Total: Free!

Rite Aid:

4 Gillette Venus razor packs, details here. Total: $0.12 each!

Market Basket:

No special prices, no coupons, but I loaded up my cart with fresh fruits and veggies. I do think real, whole, healthy food is important, so I just bought what was on sale. Total: $18.77.
