Super Savings Saturday – 5/17

a1

It was another great week of savings! I got a ton of free toothpaste, free water, cheap eyeliner, and much more by shopping the deals and using coupons.

Rite Aid:  6 Colgate toothpastes, details here. Total: Free! (This is why I love to coupon. I buy ahead when I can pick up items for free and then I don’t have to pay retail. I won’t need toothpaste for the rest of the year now.)

Shaw’s:   Vidalia onions, on sale $0.69/LB. I bought 5.12 Lbs and used a $0.50 Manufacturer’s coupon (doubled). Total: $2.53!  (Rock-bottom price for sweet onions.)

2 rotisserie chickens, on sale for $5.00 each, plus a free bottle of Aquafina. Total: $10.00 for 2 chickens and 2 waters! (I love to buy these whenever they’re on sale, especially when it’s hot out and I don’t want to heat up my kitchen.)

Walgreens: 2 Revlon eyeliners, usually $9.49, now clearance for $4.79, plus a Buy One, Get One 50% off sale. I used 2 Manufacturer’s coupons and 2 $1.00 store coupons. Total: $1.18 for both! (These are double-sided so it’s like paying $0.29 each for 4 eyeliners.)

While I was at Walgreens, I made sure to say hello to all the cashiers. Because I’ve shopped there almost every week for years, I’ve gotten friendly with many, especially the ladies in cosmetics. The Burt’s Bees and Dove were free samples given to me when I bought the eyeliner. How nice is that?! I really appreciated it and loved the surprise. Being a nice couponer is rewarding in many ways!

Did you used any coupons this week?

Free Tire Rotation At Sears

a1

If you’re planning a trip this summer, use this Sears coupon for a FREE tire rotation! The coupon is valid until 5/31/14. I’ve done this deal twice in the past for my Pathfinder and never had to pay a dime.

My only complaint with Sears is the long wait time. Try not to go on the weekend if at all possible. I get extremely antsy at car repair places, so I just drop mine off and spend the time window shopping at the mall while trying to avoid inhaling these treats by the bucketful:

Free Colgate At Rite Aid

a1

Colgate toothpaste is on sale for $3.50 at Rite Aid this week. Stack a $3.00 store coupon (from the weekly flyer) and a $0.50 Manufacturer’s coupon and it will be FREE!

All of these varieties are included: Colgate Max or Sensitive 6 oz., Optic White  4 oz., Total Advanced 4 oz. and Total 4.2 oz.

Even if you don’t have the Manufacturer’s coupon, I’d jump on this deal. $0.50 for Colgate is an excellent price, especially for the super-expensive Optic White! I always buy the mint gel. It tastes and cleans better than the paste.
