Super Savings Saturday – 6/10/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

I’ve taken the past two weeks off from shopping due to a lack of good deals and honestly not needing to buy a single thing (this is why I love my stockpile so much!). Of course, I can’t take too big a break from couponing without missing it terribly. Luckily, CVS and Rite Aid had enough goodies to lure me back in.

CVS:

I did multiple transactions to roll.

Transaction #1:  2 Garnier Full & Plush shampoos, sale price $3.50. I used 2 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $3.00 with $3.00 ECB!

Transaction #2: DiGiorno mini cheese pizza, raincheck price $3.00. Total: $3.00 with $3.00 ECB!

Transaction #3: Just the Basics 4-pack toilet paper, regular price $3.49. I used my $3.00 ECB and paid $0.49!

Rite Aid:

I originally went in for a moneymaker on Schick razors. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea because there wasn’t a single pack left in the store. That was crummy, but finding an unadvertised sale on soap made up for it.

2 Q-tips travel packs, sale price$1.27 each. Total: $2.54 with $2.00 Plenti Points! (These are so handy to take on vacation.)

4 Cetaphil Cleansing bar soap, 3-pack, clearance price $3.07. I used 4 $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Final Price: $0.07! (I have no idea why this was insanely cheap, but I sure was excited to find it. I prefer liquid to bar, so this will probably be a donation.)

Local Produce Store:

4 cantaloupes, sale price $0.89.

1 green pepper, clearance price $0.19.

Pack of zucchini and summer squash, 5 total, clearance price $0.69!

Have you found any freebies or cheapies lately? I’d love to hear about it!

Super Savings Saturday – 5/20/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

Good deals were abundant this week. Since I was blessed with more time and energy than I usually have, I took full advantage and shopped ’til I dropped at store…after store…after store!

CVS:

4 Ragu pasta sauces, sale price $1.00. I used two $1.25/2 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.38 each!

2 Colgate Sensitive Smart White toothpastes, sale price $3.99. I used two $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $3.98 plus $4.00 ECBs!

Dunkin Donuts:

Free sample of frozen coffee (extremely small size, but the taste was good.)

PetSmart:

Free bag of Nutro dry dog food (These were given out free to the first 100 customers.)

Hannaford:

Chuck steak at $2.49/lb was on my list. I changed my mind when I stumbled onto an unadvertised Manager’s Special on skirt steak at only $1.99/lb! Normally, that type of steak is around $9.99/lb, so it was a huge savings.

6 packs of skirt steak, total: $22.89! (We ate two for dinner and the remainder were marinated and then put into the freezer.)

JC Penney:

Free $10.00 off $10.00 or more purchase coupon. (The store was mobbed, so I’m saving it for later).

Walgreens:

I did 6 separate transactions since you can’t roll Register Rewards for identical items.

6 M&M caramel candies, sale price $1.25. Total: $7.50 plus $7.50 Register Rewards!

Super Savings Saturday – 5/13/17

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday.

Since I was on vacation last week, I had a lot of laundry and housework that required my attention. That didn’t leave much time for shopping, but I did manage to make it into two stores for a few freebies and cheapies.

Market Basket:

This was a normal grocery run for almond milk, produce, and some bread. The only really good deal was on split chicken breasts at $1.29/lb. I lost my receipt, so I can’t do a complete price break down (Yes, it was one of those days!), but the total was right around $40.00.

Rite Aid:

When a new product is launched, I love it, because it means high value coupons will be available. Scoring 4 boxes of FREE Playtex was awesome.

4 Playtex Sport Compact tampons, sale price $3.50. I used 4 $2.50 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $4.00 plus $4.00 Plenti Points! (Playtex is my sister’s fav brand, so I am sending them to her.)

4 V8+Energy Mango drinks, regular price $1.19. I used 4 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.19 each! (I think V8 is repulsive in the extreme, but my man loves them.)

2 Milka Oreo candy bars, regular price $1.15. I used 2 $0.55 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $1.20 plus $1.00 Plenti Points! (The deal was Buy 2, Get 1 Free. My store only had 2 left total. Even so, it’s a good price without the 3rd bar.)

2 Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin laundry soaps, sale price $1.99. I used 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.99 each!

Super Savings Saturday – 5/6/17

There is no Super Savings Saturday today because yours truly is on vacation. (I can’t even begin to say how fun, exciting, and exhausting it is to travel some place far away! Other than a crazy-long flight delay, it’s been all smooth sailing with tons of sightseeing and feasting.)

Rest assured, SSS will be back again next week with new adventures in deal hunting. In the mean time, readers are always welcome to link/comment about their own freebies and cheapies.
