Super Savings Saturday – 3/5/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week, Rite Aid was the place to be. With tons of monthly freebies available for March, I was able to stock up on lots of medicine. The weekly deals were good for hair care and toothpaste. Because I had enough points, I was able to get everything pictured for FREE!

I also shopped CVS (struck out completely) and Target (tons of cheap fruit).

Rite Aid:

dove

2 Dove style & care, sale price $3.00. I used a $3.00/2 manufacturer’s coupon and activated $3.00 extra Plenti points for 2 Dove products. Total: $3.00, plus $6.00 Plenti Points!

ra

Rite Aid medicated patch, sale price $5.00. Total: $5.00, plus $5.00 Plenti Points!

Colgate Total, sale price $2.99. I used a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $0.99, plus $2.00 Plenti Points!

Arnic

Arnicare gel, sale price $10.00. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total $7.00, plus $10.00 Plenti Points!

cura

Cura-Heat Patches, sale price $5.00. Total: $5.00, plus $5.00 Plenti Points!

CVS:

Every coupon site was raving about free Purina Beneful dog food. (Combining a bogo sale with a bogo coupon.) I stopped in, hoping to get 4 bags, but it was a no-go. The manager told me “CVS is losing too much money” so they pulled every bag off the shelf and refused to issue any rain checks. Crazy, huh?

bana

Target:

Normally, bananas are $0.25 each. For some unknown reason, Target lowered the price. I grabbed 3 bunches, brought them home, and chopped everything for the freezer. Total: $2.40!

How many deals did you find?

Super Savings Saturday – 2/27/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week was all about Target. My plans included a lot more stores, however, it never worked out due to having a broken car. I’m just happy I got anything to be honest!

Target:

I separated the deals into 2 transactions—one easy, one complicated. Both worked perfectly!

Transaction #1:

1 banana, regular price $0.25. Free with Checkout 51 rebate. (I repeat this deal almost every single week.)

Kevita Probiotic drink, on sale $2.50. I used a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with 35% off cartwheel. Total: $0.63. (Tasted horrible, so maybe a waste of money, but I do like to try new products.)

Transaction #2:

I had a $10.00/$40.00 store coupon that I used for all these items which made for an amazing deal.

1 Boiron Calendula cream, regular price $11.99. I used a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with 40% off cartwheel. (Really nice to have on hand for cuts/scrapes.)

1 Organic Valley shake, regular price $13.99. I used a $3.50 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with 35% off cartwheel. (Tastier than the probiotic, but nothing special.)

1 Poise Impressa Bladder kit, sale price $2.99. I used a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with 25% off cartwheel.

3 Playtex Sport Liners, regular price $3.99. I used 3 $3.00 manufacturer’s coupons. (Sending these to my sister in Florida.)

Total for everything: $15.53, plus a $10.00 gift card, making each item a steal! The Poise will be donated, everything else will be used and enjoyed.

LorealVaseline-Rite-Aid

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week was all about beauty and baby supplies. I haven’t shopped all 3 drug store chains plus Target in ages, so it was busy but fruitful, with lots of good deals.

Rite Aid:

2 Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe lotions, sale price $2.99. I used 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $1.99 each plus $2.00 Plenti Points.

1 L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Nourishing shampoo, sale price $3.99. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $0.99!

1 L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Nourishing conditioner, sale price $3.99. I used a $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $0.99!

In addition to these items, I wanted to do the Advil cold medicine deal, but none were left on the shelf. (Good thing I have plenty of cold medicine in my stockpile because we have been sick multiple times this winter.)

lotion

CVS:

4 Eucerin Original Healing lotion, sale price $5.50. I used 4 $2.00 manufacturer’s coupons stacked with a $4.00/$20.00 store coupon. Total: $10.00 plus $10.00 ECB’s!

Nuk

Target:

2 Nuk bottles, on sale $4.75. I used 2 $3.00 manufacturer’s coupons stacked with 2 $1.00 store coupons and 10% off Cartwheel. Total: $0.38 each!

Walgreens:

I haven’t set foot in a Walgreens for many months, but I was willing to stop in after I’d heard online that people were getting free Huggies Wipes and jumbo boxes of Pulls Up for less than $4.00. Naturally, everything was long gone even though it was only 9:00 AM Monday morning. Now I remember why I stopped shopping here! Wags is just too frustrating and a total waste lately…

Super Savings Saturday – 2/6/16

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

This week it was all about the drug stores. Because my fridge/freezer and cabinets were full, I didn’t set foot in a single grocery store (rare for me!). Sometimes I get burned out running from store to store, so this was a nice break for me. Of course, now we’re almost entirely out of food and I’ll have to do a mega shop next week, but that’s how it goes, right?

CVS:

3 Hallmark greeting cards, regular price $0.99. I used a $3.00/3 store coupon. Total: Free, plus $2.00 ECB’s.

Colgate toothpaste, on sale $3.00. I used a $2.50 store coupon stacked with a $0.50 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: Free!

2 Crispy M&M’s, on sale $0.99. I used a BOGO coupon. Total: $0.99, plus $0.75 ECB’s. (I thought theses were so gross, but the rest of the family loved them. Go figure!)

cerave-1Chloraseptic-Rite-Aid

Rite Aid:

2 CeraVe soap, regular price $6.99. I used 2 $3.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $7.98, plus $8.00 Plenti Points.

2 Chloraseptic sore throat lozenges, on sale $4.99. I used 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $7.98, plus $8.00 Plenti Points.

Notice how the medicine was tagged but the soap isn’t? This is very common that not all sale items are marked, so I always double check by separating my transactions. Sure, some cashiers complain, but it’s my money and I like to make sure I’m only buying what’s actually a deal.

Pet Smart:

4 bags of clearance food, details here. Total: $3.37 each!
