Need Help Reentering the Work Force? Try Apres

testimonial_photostrip

There are many reasons why women cycle in and out of the work force, motherhood being the most common. Because of our family commitments, a career can seem completely out of reach. Those who are trying to make the difficult transition from home to work should check out a cool new website.

Apres Group is on a mission to help women everywhere achieve their professional dreams. The site has lots of excellent (free) content on topics like resumes, interviews, and how to refresh your skills. Another huge plus is a job board with current listings for full-time, part-time and project-based positions. Career coaches are available, too.

Most inspiring for me are the success stories posted by members of the community. I love to see women encourage and assist each other so we can all succeed. (No Mean Girls!)

Whether you’ve been home for 1 month or 20 years, it is truly never too late! Don’t give up on yourself. Yes, it’s scary and overwhelming, especially at first, but don’t let fear become paralyzing. Other women have done it and so can you.

CVS: 75% off Candle Clearance

Love scented candles? Hurry into CVS. I found an end cap display, with markdowns up to 75% off. Huge jars are only $2.49! The manager told me they are discontinuing this line which accounts for the great prices.

Clearance will vary, store to store, but this appears to be nationwide. My sister, who lives in Florida, scouted her local store and found the same stuff. Definitely worth checking and no coupons needed!

Chipotle-Chiptopia

Loving dining out? You’ll want to see this awesome post from The Krazy Coupon Lady about 14 restaurants offering free food with their rewards programs. The list includes:

  • Chipotle
  • Dairy Queen
  • Domino’s
  • Starbucks
  • Jamba Juice
  • Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
  • Subway
  • Papa John’s
  • Dunkin Donuts
  • Qdoba
  • Shari’s CafĂ©
  • Carl Jr’s
  • Chili’s
  • Krispy Kreme

Jamba-Juice

All of these sound good to me except for Chipotle. I’m way too afraid of stomach flu or E-Coli poisoning to ever eat there again after the recent outbreaks, but adventurous spirits can risk it.
