Amwell TeleHealth Saves Time & Money

a3.jpg

Being sick is a drag, but finding help doesn’t have to be—especially when quality care is available from the comfort of your own home!

Amwell (American Well) is the nation’s largest telehealth company, connecting users with their choice of doctor for immediate, live online visits. Doctors can address minor illnesses and injuries, general health and wellness concerns, prescription refills, and chronic condition management.

They employ primary care and specialist physicians, as well as behavioral therapists and nutritionists. Amwell doctors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are dedicated to keeping you healthy.

Using Amwell couldn’t be easier. Instead of waiting for a doctor—which can take days!—I received immediate help, by following these easy steps:

Enroll:

Creating an account is easy, and only takes a minute. Once your account is created, your information is stored safely and securely for all future online visits.

Select A Doctor:

Amwell believes in choice. That’s why they show you the doctors available in your state, and let you review their backgrounds and ratings so you can decide who to see. Doctors are board certified, with an average of 10-15 years in practice.

See A Doctor:

Over the web or using one of the mobile apps, you can see and speak with a doctor over live, high-quality video. Your conversation with your doctor will last about 10 minutes. That’s how long it takes to handle most problems, but of course you can add time if you need to. Doctors can review your history, answer questions, diagnose, treat, and even prescribe medication. Any needed prescriptions will then be sent straight to your pharmacy.

PicCollage—a Photo Lover’s Dream

imageThis post is part of a sponsored campaign with PicCollage, HP & MomSelect. All opinions are my own.

Anytime something exciting happens, I love to capture it in a photo. This week, a new edition joined the family—a hermit crab named Sebastian! So far, he is fitting in well with the Chihuahuas and cats, and has brought tons of joy into our lives.

Since it’s almost Halloween, I wanted to make something festive, something more special than an average photo. That’s where PicCollage can help. It’s an awesome mobile app that allows you to create custom designs.

Using PicCollage is extremely user friendly. Start by downloading the app, then import photos from your own photo library and Facebook. Clip photos by outlining the area you want with your finger, then use simple touch gestures to rotate or resize. By double-tapping, borders can be adjusted. Once the collage is completed, you click on the lower-left Frame icon, and swipe to select a frame! If you make a mistake, starting over couldn’t be simpler—just flick to delete.

With PicCollage, the options are truly endless with these features:

  • 1500+ Stickers
  • 80+ Backgrounds
  • 60+ Templates
  • Square or Portrait layouts

When your custom collage is finished, you can print the image by itself or turn it into a greeting card or postcard. Plus, it’s easy to share your creations on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

If you enjoy pics like me, try PicCollage; it’s a photo lover’s dream.

Reader Input Wanted: Help me Pick a New Laptop

aa

Since I have the smartest and most generous readers in the world, I want to ask you guys for some advice. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I’m in the market for a new laptop. After a lot of searching I still can’t make up my mind. I know that I want something at least 15 inches, reasonably fast, with a super-quiet fan. Currently, I use a Dell, but I’m open to anything.

If you use a laptop and love it, send me a recommendation. If you hate a certain model/brand, tell me that, too, so I can stay away from it. Thanks, all!

Halloween Face Paint Warning

a4

First it was toys, now it’s makeup! A warning has been issued about unsafe face paint made in China. These novelty cosmetics were recently tested and 10 out of 10 were contaminated with lead, and 6 of the samples contained the known skin allergens chromium, cobalt, and nickel. Children who are exposed to this face paint can become extremely ill and there is no warning label on the products.

Please be safe and avoid this face paint altogether! We all want to enjoy Halloween and a trip to the emergency room is not festive. Stick with FDA-tested cosmetics from reputable brands and skip the stuff sold at dollar stores.
