Ever wondered what 27 inches of snow looks like? This was the view I woke up to at dawn—crazy, huh? I’ve been completely snowed in since Monday night. Other than the inconvenience of being stuck at home, I was really lucky! No loss of power, heat, or water (so grateful for that!!) Pretty much non-stop, I’ve been watching the news and weather channel for updates, and New England has been slammed! It truly is a blizzard of epic proportions. I feel the worst for the residents of Nantucket. At one point, the entire island—15,000 people—were without power! (Can you imagine being stuck on a pitch-black island during a storm? Scary!)
Now that the snow has stopped, it’s gonna be a mammoth clean up. There are some broken branches in my yard and mountains of powder. Oh, and did I mention the snow plow guy still hasn’t arrived? Wish me luck, everyone!
C’mon down to Mississippi. It was 62 degrees here yesterday!
Of course, there’s no longer a hospital in our county since the last tornado.
Ok, snowstorms I’m used to, but tornados I can’t even imagine. Must be so scary! I’ve never been to Mississippi, but I’d sure like to see it one day. I love Southern people.
Oh my goodness, I would not know where to begin. It’s sunny and 70ish in Mississippi…the state that school is cancelled when 3 flurries hit the ground lol. It did snow a little last year and we enjoyed it for a few minutes until it turned into ice. It was horrible. We ice skated on the street in front of our house.
Oh wow! That sucks! Luckily here in south jersey, we didn’t get hit as bad.
