My favorite thing about Memorial Day? It’s the unofficial start of summer which means I get to pull my white clothes/accessories out of storage! Truthfully, this is something I look forward to all year long. (I would never trivialize the importance of the holiday and all who gave their lives for this incredible country, but I do love fashion!)

Summer Style can be tricky, so it’s best to keep it simple. For me, that means white jeans or pants, a comfy lightweight top, and sandals. Other much loved accessories include a hat and sunglasses. The only white item I avoid—like the plague!—is white shoes. They make all feet, even a teeny size 5, look enormous!

Doesn’t this outfit look polished, pretty and perfect for warm weather? Blue and white is a great color combination and turquoise is a personal favorite since it’s my birth stone.

Another trend I’m excited about is white nail polish. I’ve held off on it for the past two summers, uncertain if it was age-appropriate, but I’m going to try it anyway, even if it looks silly to some. I wouldn’t pair it with these bold rings, though—the polish is plenty on its own.
