Most of us buy things regularly–daily?!!—online, and the most popular site is always Amazon. (Seriously, is there anything they don’t sell?) While I never pass up a good deal, I like a freebie even more. Here are all the ways I’ve gotten free stuff from Amazon:
Prime membership: Sign up for a free 30-day trial and enjoy all of these perks:
- 2-day shipping plus same-day delivery in limited areas
- Unlimited movie/TV streaming
- Unlimited music streaming
- Unlimited photo storage
Remember to cancel the membership before it expires if you don’t want to pay $99 annually.
Registry gifts: If you’re having a baby or getting married soon, make sure to create a registry. From time to time, they offer a free welcome box, full of cool goodies.
Amazon credit card: Earn reward points on every purchase you make both on and offline and then use those points for shopping.
Products: Many review sites offer 100% off coupon codes to purchase on Amazon. Snagshout and Tomoson are my favorites.
Music: Both MP3 singles and full albums are available. Sort from low to high and the freebies will come up first. Every genre is represented, with a little something for everyone.
Movies: Many movies and TV shows can be found in the Instant Video selection—free for Prime and low cost for everyone else.
Books: There are thousands of free e-books available through Kindle on a daily basis. (Don’t have a Kindle? You can download to your PC anyway with an app.) Also, checkout the free lending library if you have Prime. Another cool feature is Lend or Borrow which allows readers to share a book for 14 days.
Shipping credits: If that package can wait, choose a longer shipping time and Amazon will reward you with a $5.00 pantry credit, good on a future order.
Rewards: Earning free Amazon gift cards is easy if you’re willing to use a rewards program like Swagbucks, Recyclebank, Points2Shop, or MyPoints.
Students: Anyone with a valid .edu email address can qualify for 6 months of Prime—free!
