Today, I woke up early and made myself a delicious breakfast of grapefruit and scrambled eggs. It’s rare that I eat a full breakfast. There are always a million excuses—late to rise, racing to get ready, not really hungry, etc.
(My secret to perfect scrambled eggs? Add chives!)
I even thought ahead and made iced coffee. Since I prefer iced to hot, even in the winter, I have to plan, or I have no caffeine!
Every time I actually stay on schedule and have a filling breakfast, I find that my entire day goes so much better. Sometimes it really is the simple things that mean the most. From now on, I’m going to make this a priority. I need to get to bed on time, wake up early, get ready leisurely, and eat breakfast! I doubt it will happen every morning, but at least I’m trying!

Absolutely. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Plus, I workout every day, so I need to keep my energy up!

What a great breakfast idea. Sadly during the week all I have is coffee, coffee and more coffee with an occasional side of butter toast.

I typically make an egg white omelet with spinach and onions, but I bet it would be awesome if I added chives! Will definitely try this!

YES!! A kindred spirit! I brew my coffee and leave it in the fridge all year round. We wake up and go right for a cup!

We definitely eat breakfast every morning. Eggs are my favorite and I often make them in the microwave.

I’ve got to try the chives! I’m not much on grapefruit though. Never have been able to eat it. My grandma loved it, and I always wanted to eat it cause she did. I agree though, a good breakfast really makes the day go better. Coffee is usually the best part of my breakfast though. :/
For some reason, I never ate breakfast in high school but would go whole hog at lunch. Now, I can’t start moving without it!
I love breakfast. I try to eat it everyday, even if it’s just a bowl of cereal.

I have never been a breakfast person, but am starting to get better about it. My kids prefer big breakfasts so I’m trying to make them more often.
I feel totally weird in the morning until I eat something. It may just have to be a yogurt smoothie or a granola bar, but I need something. Regarding coffee, yes please. I can’t function until I have some strong, well-brewed coffee.

I’ve never thought to put chives in my eggs! I like to add a bit of salsa to my scrambled eggs when I’m feeling like something different 🙂 Also- I LOVE grapefruit. Yum!

I’m going to tell my hubby to try chives! He loves adding spices to our eggs but I don’t think he’s ever done chives.
This is something I am learning at the moment! I tend to eat either once a day or just snack the whole day I really need to discipline myself
