It’s amazing to find Huggies priced so cheaply, especially the big boxes. The sale is good thru 11/29.

A Taste Of Thanksgiving – New Series

a1

Please join us tomorrow for the start of a new series, A Taste of Thanksgiving.

All next week, we’ll discuss menus, favorite recipes, tips and tricks to simplify entertaining, and Thanksgiving memories. Detailed Black Friday shopping plans will be included, too!

Readers are encouraged to participate. If you have a question or comment, feel free to share. Thanksgiving can be very overwhelming—especially for first-time cooks—so we should all encourage and educate each other.

Super Savings Saturday – 11/15

a2

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

It’s been quite a week around here. Yesterday morning, about an inch of snow fell. It was gone by noon, but this was the first snow of the season, so I had to take a picture.

On the couponing front, many good deals and freebies were available, especially at CVS. I also stocked up on lots of drinks and free mailing boxes. (I am always in need of boxes to send out giveaways!)

At Shaw’s, I encountered a very unpleasant shelf clearer. As Hungry Bear and I were discussing what kind of Skippy to buy, another woman pushed in-between and took ten jars, literally wiping out the entire supply of creamy peanut butter. (I’m sure I stood there with my jaw dropped, unable to believe anyone could be so rude. Couponing etiquette 101: don’t shelf clear when others are trying to buy!) Luckily, we ended up being able to substitute Skippy Natural, but I can’t stand individuals that behave badly and give all couponers a bad rap.

Rescue Pearls natural stress relief, on sale $9.49. I used the $10.00 gift card I earned last week from the Huggies deal, plus I got $9.49 in ECB’s back. I love to roll deals and get freebies!
