After a long hiatus, I’m back to couponing. (Seriously, it feels like I haven’t done it in forever.) Even though I only went to two stores and spent only 20 minutes shopping, it was a lot of fun and reminded me what I’ve been missing. I stocked up on kitchen essentials, makeup and a CVS freebie.
Walgreens:
1st Transaction – 2 Revlon lip balms, sale price $4.99. I used a BOGO digital coupon. Total: $4.99 plus a $5.00 Register Reward.
2nd Transaction – Nice Ziploc bags, sale price $2.79 (Buy 1, Get 2 Free) and Seventh Generation dish soap, sale price $2.59. Total: $5.38. After Register Reward it was only $0.38.
CVS:
Hallmark “You’re on My Mind” card, regular price $2.00. I used a $2.00 store coupon. Total: Free.
My favorite deal was the Revlon. The balms are fruit scented/slightly flavored and feel extremely moist. The color goes on sheer. The Strawberry is lighter than the Cherry, but neither looked too dark. Definitely worth buying if they go on sale again.

It’s better to be on a Hiatus I think. I recently went on my couponing binge around the time of the the holiday season to take advantage of the deals then, but then stopped because I have all I need to last me for awhile.There are those who buy like crazy and keep what amounts to be a store inside their home. If I find I have too much, I’d rather donate it. Shalom! I could tell I’m going to enjoy visiting this blog often.
