Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday! This week, I found great deals on pet food, makeup, and sweetener. I wanted to get a jump start on Passover food shopping, but that didn’t actually happen (such is life).
Petco:
4 Wellness Trufood cat food bags, clearance price $11.98. Total: $47.92. (Since these bags are normally $48.99 each, this deal was amazing! No wonder it was marked down; that price is absurd!)
Target:
2 Madhava agave, clearance price $2.48. I used a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon stacked with a $1.00 Target coupon. Total: $0.48 each! (Very yummy and organic as well!)
There were many other things on my list, mostly Cartwheel offers, but I shopped too late in the week and everything was gone. Grrr!
Rite Aid:
5 Revlon ColorBurst Lip butters, clearance price $1.99. Total: $9.95! (I had no coupons, but it didn’t even matter since these were so cheap. I bought a bunch of different colors for me and my sister to share.)
2 Almay Softies eye shadows, regular price $5.29 plus BOGO. I used 2 $4.00 manufacturer’s coupons. Total: $0.65 each!
Another item I really wanted were Arm & Hammer Spinbrushes, on sale for $1.99 with $2.00 peelies on the box. I checked 3 stores in my area and none had coupons.
CVS:
Don’t ask me how, but I went to CVS without my coupon folder and shopping list. Since I didn’t remember the deals and I wasn’t going to pay full price anyway, I left empty handed.
Did you find any freebies or cheapies?
Your CVS shopping trip that turned into a non-shop was the most frugal tip of all, but you did awesome on the stores where you did have your coupons.
I couldn’t agree more; sometimes the most frugal thing to do is skip buying anything.
Would love to see that deal at our Target; love Agave!! I got distracted while in the ‘big city’, so i didn’t make it to the store at all. I will look more closely the next time, though.
Clearance varies by location, but it’s definitely worth checking. I found the agave on an end cap.
