Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday—a weekly post where I feature my best deals. By shopping only the sales and using coupons whenever possible, I’m able to continuously replenish my stockpile for very little.
This week, I found many necessary items on sale (veggies, fruit, water) and some fun treats like candy bars and ice cream. The only item I couldn’t snag was free Dramamine at Rite Aid. They were completely sold out of most everything, and I left with a rain check.
Local Produce Store:
Bag of apples, on sale $0.99/Lb. Total: $1.78!
Broccoli, on sale $1.09/Lb. Total: $3.41!
Poland Spring Sparkling Water, on sale 6/$1.00. (These can be used to make really good homemade root beer and Citrus Chillers.) Total: $1.00!
Red grapes, on sale $0.99/Lb. Total: $2.03!
Target:
2 Extra Strength Antacids, detail here. Total: $0.22 each!
2 Pure Via, on sale $3.45. I used a $1.00 Manufacturer’s Coupon stacked with a $1.00 Target coupon. Total: $1.45 each!
Walgreens:
4 Nestle candy bars, details here. Total: $0.14 each!
Shaw’s:
2 Kraft dressings, on sale $2.00. I used 2 $0.75 Manufacturer’s coupons (doubled). Total: $0.50 each!
2 Turkey Hill ice creams, on sale $2.50. I used 2 $1.00 Manufacturer’s Coupons. Total: $1.50 each!
The grapes and apples were eaten as snacks and the broccoli was incorporated into many dinners. The candy bars and ice cream will be used next week for an anniversary sundae. Antacids always come in handy. The Pure Via was a great price and will be used constantly in oatmeal and iced coffees.
