To say that my pups are spoiled is a bit of an understatement. Not a day goes by that these little angels don’t beg for treats, and most of the time, I indulge them. While I love to make them happy, I don’t like to feed them the inferior junky stuff that most treats contain (scary ingredients like fillers, chemicals, and preservatives).
Leela Ryan offers an all-natural, organic, and vegan option that contains no wheat, no corn, and no soy. For dogs that have a meat allergy and/or a sensitive stomach, a plant-based option can be a lifesaver. Plus, the treats are not only healthy, but also tasty to animals.
This luxury pet brand was created by a wonderful lady named Vanessa for her special Pekinese-Poodle mix. She is committed to producing a high quality product that contains real fruit and veggies, evidenced by these awesome flavors: Banana Pudding, Wild Berry Scones, and Tartes Aux Pommes.
You can probably tell from the packaging that these treats are upscale, like the kind sold at fancy dog boutiques. A lot of attention has been given to the look and taste. I find the pastel colors super cute. As for the insides, my guy LOVED every bite of these gourmet treats. Notice how his little eyes are closed, savoring the delicious crunchy goodness.
Tartes Aux Pomme which has oats, apples, and cinnamon was his favorite. He could’ve easily eaten the entire bag if I hadn’t rationed. Leela Ryan definitely lives up to their motto, “For the Well Treated Dog.”
Do you have a dog that would enjoy a tasty treat? Enter to win this giveaway and 9 bags of gourmet goodies could be yours (3 of each flavor). Entries will be open thru 3/15. Good luck!
Wish these were chewy. My pup loves, loves, LOVES fruits and veggies, but he is a senior and prefers soft foodstuffs.
My senior Chihuahua has dental problems and also likes soft treats. These aren’t rock-hard, but they are definitely crunchy. I’ve had good luck making a soft homemade version before. Most of the packaged stuff is tougher to chew. Hard for the seniors, I know.
My pup is a rat terrier. The little guys are so easy to spoil, aren’t they? I actually adopted my pup as a senior. He’d been surrendered to the shelter because his former people thought he was “too old” and no longer wanted him. Well, their loss. I adore him. I need to steal your idea and make him a batch of homemade goodies.
OMG, senior dogs are my passion! I also adopted mine from a neighbor who was moving and couldn’t take him. They are a joy and age does not mean less fun or love. Rat terriers are so cute.
If you want to try making some soft treats, here’s the recipe I used, very quick and easy:
⦁ 1 cup 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree
⦁ 1/2 cup Natural Peanut Butter
⦁ 1 3/4 cups flour
⦁ 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Beat all together with a mixer, then roll out dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper until it’s 1/4″ thick. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees until firm and dry.
Hope that helps and the little guy enjoys it 🙂
I adore my little senior. I adopted him when he was 10 and he’ll be turning 15 in May. He’s still a bundle of happy, adorable energy! Thanks for that recipe! So glad to know a fellow fancier of pups in a more advanced stage of youth!
These treats sound awesome! I will have to try some for my babies!
Mine loved them and I bet yours will too.
I have three furbabies who would love to try these.
3? Oh, so cute. Never enough pups, I say.
Now I’ve heard it all, a vegan DOG treat? My goodness!
My family eats meat, pets included, but my dogs really like fruit and veggies too. I’m not saying dogs have to be vegan, just an option that’s available.
I really love the pastel colors and style of the packaging. It’s so cute, like you might find it in a little boutique.
I agree 🙂
