Super Savings Saturday – 11/15

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday!

It’s been quite a week around here. Yesterday morning, about an inch of snow fell. It was gone by noon, but this was the first snow of the season, so I had to take a picture.

On the couponing front, many good deals and freebies were available, especially at CVS. I also stocked up on lots of drinks and free mailing boxes. (I am always in need of boxes to send out giveaways!)

At Shaw’s, I encountered a very unpleasant shelf clearer. As Hungry Bear and I were discussing what kind of Skippy to buy, another woman pushed in-between and took ten jars, literally wiping out the entire supply of creamy peanut butter. (I’m sure I stood there with my jaw dropped, unable to believe anyone could be so rude. Couponing etiquette 101: don’t shelf clear when others are trying to buy!) Luckily, we ended up being able to substitute Skippy Natural, but I can’t stand individuals that behave badly and give all couponers a bad rap.

CVS:

Just the Basics paper towel single roll, on sale $0.79. I used a $0.79 store coupon from the in-store machine. Total: Free!

Rescue Pearls natural stress relief, on sale $9.49. I used the $10.00 gift card I earned last week from the Huggies deal, plus I got $9.49 in ECB’s back. I love to roll deals and get freebies!

Shaw’s:

2 Diet Dr. Pepper 12-packs, on sale $3.33. I used 2 $1.00 Manufacturer’s coupons and a $3.00/2 store coupon. Total: $0.83 each!

4 Pure Leaf iced teas, on sale $1.00. I used 2 $3.00/2 Manufacturer’s coupons (marked down to sale price.) Total: Free!  (Pure Leaf is made by Lipton, so it is ok to use this coupon on these drinks.)

4 Marzetti salad dressings, on sale $2.50. I used 4 $0.75 Manufacturer’s coupons (doubled). Total: $1.00 each.   (I bought a variety of Blue Cheese, Caesar Supreme, & Ranch.)

3 Skippy Naturals, on sale $1.99. I used 3 $0.55 Manufacturer’s coupons (doubled). Total: $0.89 each!   (Never tried the Natural line, so this will be an experiment.)
