Pets Made You Noseblind? Febreze Can Help!

a2

This post and giveaway were made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Pets provide unconditional love, companionship, tons of fun, and o-d-o-r (yuck!). Oscar the Chihuahua is a terrible offender! This boy has never been able to stay away from mud, trash, and a bunch of other gross stuff.

Over time, it’s easy to become immune to the smell. I guess you could say we’ve gone noseblind—a phenomenon that happens when you get so accustomed to a smell that it no longer bothers you.

The problem is that it does bother other people, especially those who don’t own pets. Can you imagine hosting a holiday dinner or party in a room filled with dirty doggie air? Yikes! No wonder 49 percent of Americans say that they dread visiting homes with pets because of the smell.

Luckily, there is a solution. With the help of Febreze and comedian Jane Lynch, I took another look at noseblindness. With a wide range of products available, Febreze can eliminate the worst odors.

Here are some of their wonderful products and what they do:

• Air Effects takes care of the odors in your air. Use it anywhere and anytime pet odors are lingering or when you need a burst of freshness. Great to use in any room, and especially great to store readily available in rooms like the kitchen and bathroom where odors pop up frequently and you quickly want to eliminate them.

• Car Vent Clips freshens your car and eliminate the tough pet odors that tend to hang inside your car. Place onto any air vent in your vehicle, set the intensity dial to begin releasing the level of scent of your choice, and replace every 30 days to constantly freshen and eliminate odors in your car.

  • Fabric Refresher works great to keep fabrics fresh and odor free. Use daily on fabrics that get a lot of high traffic and odors (dog beds, furniture). Start off every day freshening those fabrics.

In addition to smelling amazing, all of these products meet the standard for inclusion on the ASPCA’s Pet Friendly Living List, ensuring that you can have a home free of pet odors while still keeping your furry friend safe!

Three Cheers for Patricia Arquette

a3

Three cheers for Best Supporting Actress winner, Patricia Arquette, who devoted her Oscars acceptance speech to advancing women’s rights and wage equality. Not only is she a beautiful person, inside and out, she is very talented, as evidenced by her 12-year devotion to Boyhood.

Her words were rightfully met with wild applause by such big names as Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez.

It is so impressive when a public figure uses their platform for the common good. I’d love to see more speeches like this in the future. Hollywood gets a bad reputation for being all fluff, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
