Are most of you experiencing wild weather, too? Here in New England, it’s much warmer than usual and we haven’t had any snow yet.
It seems like it’s one extreme to the next. Last winter we experienced the snowiest season in 40 years while tomorrow it’s supposed to reach 66 degrees, shattering the all-time high record set in 1870!
I’m not complaining about a warm day—far from it!—but this is just plain weird. I have lived here for most of my life, and to step outside in late December without a coat is just unheard of. Instead of the usual flakes, it’s been lots of rain lately and it feels more like fall than winter.
No boots, no scarves, no sleds/skis—where are you guys?
How hot/cold is it in your area?
I live in Southern California and our weather has been very weird too. Above average temps. We are suppose to get a El Nino to end the drought we have been having. Maybe not end it but help with our water supply somewhat. We have had maybe 8 inches of rain the entire year? It has been very dry here.
I really hope you guys get some rain soon. I see all the wildfires on TV and it makes me worry so much for folks in CA.
Mid to high 80s down here in Central Florida and the humidity is through the roof so AC is required 24/24. 66 sounds reaaaally nice to me!
My sister is in Ft. Lauderdale and she says it’s VERY hot in Florida all over this winter. The humidity is the worst part for me.
Yes, very crazy weather! I’m in the northwest mountains of North Carolina. Usually, we get snow around Halloween, we have had only one very small dusting. The highs have been in the 50’s to 60’s. It is hurting our economy, we have 3 ski slopes and they cannot stay open, not even cold enough to make snow 🙂
Wonderful folks and beautiful country out in NC. I love it there! Our ski slopes are also empty, but strangely enough, the golf courses are still open. So weird!
In Missouri, it’s been in the 60’s & 70’s off & on, so unusually warm for this time of year. Can’t believe we’ve had no snow or ice yet this year!
my goodness, its been around 50 degrees average here in NEPA.
