Israel—and those of us who love Israel—can celebrate the re-election of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Most of the polls leading up to the vote seemed so negative, I was surprised by the results.
Netanyahu is clearly the best choice to lead, because he is focused on safety/security, supports the Settlers, and is against the laughable Two-State “solution” that would only increase chaos (Israel, and Jerusalem in particular, should never be divided).
While there is some friction between the Prime Minister and the Obama administration, I don’t think it will hurt the lasting and loving commitment that America has always demonstrated for Israel.
As for the anger in the Arab community, I think it’s misplaced. Sure, there are problems and some individuals have had their rights violated, but the overwhelming majority of Israel’s Arab population—which accounts for 20% of the country—enjoys a stable, productive life with full rights that all citizens expect to enjoy.
Now that the election is over, I sincerely hope Netanyahu can focus on the important tasks at hand:
1. Reviving the stalled Israeli economy and addressing the high cost of living.
2. Minimizing terrorism (especially the Iranian threat).
3. Protecting existing Settlements from being dismantled, and allowing new ones to be built.
4. Ensuring that Israel remains a Jewish state.
How do you feel about the Israeli election results?
I am so grateful to God for the Prime ministers victory! Netanyahu seems to be the only one that understands the threat Iran imposes. I was so proud that our Congress invited him to speak 2 weeks ago. He spoke the truth. I just hope people were listening. I did!
I loved his speech to Congress. I’m listening and you are. That’s a start, right? 🙂
Thank God that he won!! He is the best leader a country could have. I wish we had him here in America. I know he isn’t perfect but he sure is protective of Israel and its citizens and that is what matters most in this day and age. God Bless Israel!!
Well said!
