$100.00 Lowe’s Gift Card Giveaway

DIY fans, if you’re planning to remodel or replace, this giveaway is for you.

Without fail, every summer requires home and yard repairs. (At my place, we’re focused on fixing the lawn, finding a new fridge and painting the bedrooms.)

Lawn equipment, kitchen appliances, patio furniture, bathroom faucets— Lowe’s has all of these items and more. My personal favorite is the Garden Center. I love buying seeds to grow, plus they have lots of clearance plants.

The $100.00 Lowe’s Gift Card Giveaway will be open thru July 14, 2019. Good luck, everyone.

Super Savings Saturday – 6/15/19

Welcome to another edition of Super Savings Saturday. This week’s shopping was so much fun! I found lots of good deals, enjoyed free food and updated my summer wardrobe.

Macy’s:

A 75% off flash sale and the desperate need for new summer footwear inspired me to do something I rarely do: order shoes online. Because shoes are hard to fit, I prefer to try before I buy. Because I found a pair of sandals for less than $15.00, I took a risk. If they’re awful, I’ll return them, but hopefully they’re comfy.

Espirit sandals, clearance price $14.75 (marked down from $59.00). The beige color will coordinate well with most of my clothes and I like the simple style.

Walgreens:

A local homeless shelter put out an emergency request for non-food, hygiene items.

10 Xtra laundry detergents, sale price $0.99. Total: $9.90. (No coupons, but it doesn’t matter. I feel so fortunate that I can donate and help others.)

CVS:

Skintimate shave gel, sale price $2.99. I used a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $1.99 plus $1.00 ECB.

3 Hallmark cards, regular price $0.99. I used a $2.00/3 store coupon. Total: $0.33 each. (I bought one for Father’s Day, one for my hubby’s birthday and a Get Well card for a friend’s dad who’s in the hospital.)

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, regular price $15.99. I stacked a $3.00 store coupon with a $4.00 manufacturer’s coupon. Total: $8.99 plus $7.00 ECBs.

Tropical Smoothie Café:

Free Strawberry Banana smoothie, in honor of National Flip Flop Day. This is an annual event that I always look forward to. The lines can be crazy, but the smoothies are so tasty.

5 Raw Summer Snacks Kids Will Love

Raw food is healthy food; everyone knows that. Getting kids to actually eat some, however, can be difficult. Thankfully, most little people like fruit and many will tolerate veggies that are presented in a creative way.

Be sure to buy produce that’s at the peak of freshness, wash it well, and consume quickly before it goes bad. Remember that raw food, unlike cooked food, presents more of a risk because it’s not heated. Never eat moldy berries or spoiled bits—just clean, fresh foods.

Here are 5 raw summer snacks that kids will love (and adults too!):

1 – Fruit and Cheese Kabobs

2 – Watermelon Popsicles

3 – Fresh Fruit Pizza

4 – Veggie Nachos (The chips are bell peppers.)

5 – Rainbow Wraps (Sandwiches bursting with fresh veggies of many colors)
